In a modern Essendonhome, this minimalist designed stair compliments the interior decor well. The stair is a U-shaped layout and has closed with square-set Zero tread nosing projection. The bottom flight has a half flight cantilever, which has been filled in with a plaster wall, the addition of an ornamental step half the width of the flight creates a feature within itself. Vertical stainless steel tube balusters span from the treads up to the juncture ground floor ceiling. The balustrade to the top flight and void is a dwarf stud wall with a Spotted Gum capping to the top and end of the solid structure. This detail provides a distinct visual & acoustic barrier from the ground floor. All of the timbers are Spotted Gum with a clear finish.
