This is a continuous radius curving closed stair with visible timbers made from Tasmanian Oak with a stain finish. The staircase is a massive feature of the Camberwell home, with the continuous handrail and the decorative wrought iron balustrade giving this staircase a classic feel. The handrail commences with a wreathing scroll over a post and bullnose tread and has a curving ramp at the change in pitch between the fight and the first floor. The feature bullnose tread has been used to open the base of the stair. The level capping has a nosing to match the treads with deep fascia to frame the stairwell. Please note that the wrought iron balustrade was made by others.
