This is a conventional“L” Shaped closed stair is installed in a townhouse in St Albans, north-west of Melbourne. The base of the staircase is opened with the use of two bullnose steps. The timbers are in Victorian Ash with a clear finish, providing a striking contrast to the ‘darker’ tiles on the ground and second floors and the use of stainless steel tubing as balustrading was a good choice.
