~ Normally when too many different elements are combined in a staircase design it does no work well, however with this stair is did work. The first step is boxed, main flight then cantilevered, and upper flight with conventional closed strings. Meanwhile the balustrade on the flight is with ‘cascading’ stainless steel tubes, then with glass across the void on the upper floor. Staircase timber are in Tasmanian Oak with a clear finish.
